CARL Berger-Levrault introduces BL.Viz4D, a new Multi-Scale Viewer that integrates the Digital Twin platform

As a leading European publisher in Operation and Maintenance Management (OMM), CARL Berger-Levrault is upgrading its Digital Twin platform, intended for operation and maintenance organizations, with the new BL.VIZ 4D Multi-Scale Viewer.

CARL Berger-Levrault is launching a comprehensive digital platform for managing equipment and assets with its new BIM-CIM offering. This solution builds on the management features already provided by the CARL Source software, such as mapping through GIS or DWG file integration, or the real-time dimension thanks to objects connected to Artificial Intelligence, i.e., BIM—to meet the Digital Twin expectations.

An open, innovative BIM-CIM OMM Open BIM solution!

Viewer BIM 3D BL Viz

Integrated into the CARL Source software, the BL.VIZ 4D Viewer makes it possible to view and synchronize model data (attribute and 3D) for maintenance purposes. Its advantages include the fact that it is based on an Open BIM architecture (IFC, 3DTiles), which simplifies its use regardless of the modeling tools.

This offering is designed for areas such as real estate assets, infrastructures, and networks.

Its uses are numerous:

  • Asset managers can optimize the management of their activity thanks to the interaction between management data, 3D models, and IoT data.
  • Field technicians benefit from troubleshooting support thanks to a better understanding of their environment (knowledge of network paths and piping systems, virtual access to locked or secured spaces, etc.).

The BL.VIZ solution is the result of joint work carried out with the Innovation Department of the Berger-Levrault Group and the LIRIS laboratory in Lyon. It enhances an existing offering based on selected partner products.

The BL.VIZ4D offer will be showcased at BIM World – April 5 & 6, 2022, in Paris
