[Webinar] CARL Berger-Levrault introduces CARL Source 7, the cornerstone of its SaaS strategy

CARL Source 7 will be available from January 2023 in SaaS and On-Premise mode. This new version features ergonomic changes, business-oriented improvements, and innovations around IoT, BIM and mobility technologies.

SaaS: security and peace of mind

 

Striving for constant customer satisfaction, CARL Berger-Levrault is migrating the architecture of its CARL Source 7 application towards the SaaS model. In doing so, the software publisher offers a dynamic platform that continuously provides improvements to meet the needs of its customers.

Its objective is to enable all of its customers to overcome the technical constraints of hosting, infrastructure and updates, while guaranteeing the highest level of security and complete peace of mind. To support these goals, CARL Berger-Levrault has consolidated the security of its hosting with ISO 27001 certification. All solutions are tested by an external company with expertise in intrusion detection.

Lastly, in order to help its customers comply with GDPR legislation on the management of personal data, the entire application, including its mobile extensions, features mechanisms for automatic de-identification and terms of service validation.

 

Even more efficient ergonomics and business functions

 

CARL Source 7 extends its options for background definition with new graphics in order to better meet the expectations of its users. The home portal has been upgraded and redesigned to inform, alert and guide maintenance technicians on the actions they have to carry out on a daily basis.

CARL Source 7 CMMS software features a new asset evaluation function that enhances the status log of buildings, infrastructure and technical equipment.
This allows the technical service departments to have a comprehensive and objective view of the assets and thus make the right decisions.

This new version offers an automatic resource allocation function for future service calls. This speeds up and simplifies the planning of service calls.
Lastly, a customizable workflow configurator allows users to adapt the software processes for their organization. For example, a tool can have different status sequences for a given safety device.

Mobile applications assist employees in the field

 

For more than 10 years, CARL Berger-Levrault has made mobility a major area of development in order to meet the expectations of its field-based users. The multi-platform (Android and iOS CARL Touch mobile CMMS solution has been enhanced with a planning tool that makes it easier for technicians to look up scheduled or completed activities. RFID technology and in-field equipment inventorization round out the impressive list of features in this new version.

Thanks to support from the >Berger-Levrault Group, there is a wealth of innovations.

CARL Source 7 integrates the new BL.viz4D platform. This platform enables the display of 3D digital models (BIM & CIM) in interaction with the CMMS. This innovation comes in addition to the IoT platform and AI-assisted maintenance already launched in 2021, making it possible to offer users a comprehensive view of an asset’s digital twin.

All of these developments are the results of collaborations with an array of pilot customers, who are committed alongside CARL Berger-Levrault. This open approach ensures an effective response to the requirements of CARL Source users.
