The core of the application is based on Java’s technologies. CARL Source scrupulously follows the separation between presentation and application layers. The fact that no code is installed on the client terminal makes it possible to optimise the application’s portability, maintenance and deployment. Each component has been optimised to best distribute loads (processor, memory) and reduce response times.

CARL Source is compatible with strict network security requirements (no administrator rights on client terminals, https protocol, etc.) and meets the many current standards on authentication, single sign-on (SSO) and traceability. It provides all the security guarantees essential in certain industry sectors (21 CFR Part 11 / FDA).
